Golf Art

Last night I realised I'd been going about the golf art all wrong. I'd been trying to paint Scottish golf courses in a contemporary manner. No wonder few people liked them. They all looked the same. So I had a go at a few scribbles and came up with a couple of line and wash pictures. Big characters with minimal landscape.

That's more like it. Make the golfers and the situations stand out. Whether it's St Andrews or Troon doesn't matter greatly. That bit of the picture plays second fiddle to what the golfers are doing.

Expect to see more of this.
