Crieff art by Karin Wiseman

Had a lovely surprise at the weekend when my wife presented me with a painting of Crieff in winter by Karin Wiseman. I had seen it in Aiton Fine Arts on King St in Crieff some weeks ago, and admired it then. It looks much better now it's on my wall.
The thing is, I know nothing about the artist, what other work she does or where else she's exhibited. Ah well, maybe she'll be famous one day and I'll have an original to get valued on Antiques Roadshow. Sell it? no mate, wouldn't dream of it.

Comments:
hi there, quite a coincidence i stumble upon this post, aimlessly sufing the web. Karin Wiseman is my mother- she has a website check it out... www.karinwiseman.co.uk The website contains all contact details and a gallery displaying a small selection of her previous work.

That's brillant Matt, thanks. Everyone who visits my house loves her painting. Please pass on my thanks to your mum.

Any commissions forthcoming, then, Crags?

Dear Crags,
Thanks so much for your encouraging comments. I am living in Burford now but am keeping in touch with Aiton Gallery in Crieff and have been invited to show more pictures of Crieff there soon.
It certainly is most beautiful in Perthshire.
Thank you so much again, God bless, Karin Wiseman
